Life After Katy

Say hello to Baby Cat, my adorable Katy. She was born on Christmas day. As for me, how is life after baby? The best word to describe it is full of compromising. Forget about enough sleep, catching up with your favorite TV show or even just to relax enjoying your meal. The first week was a nightmare. My husband and I are basically awake all night because we haven't really figured out what does Katy want. We are taking turn in getting up but of course I will still be the one getting up more often as to breastfeed the baby.

The nurse and doctor in the hospital was telling me to feed her every 2 hours. But whenever she sleeps, she seems not to bother to open her mouth a bit to drink from me. So I end up just letting her sleep and feed her whenever she wake up.

I don't know how some mums out there make it seems very easy handling their babies. Going out to the mall, walking around some parks.....I barely managed to catch up my sleep. Hopefully whenever Katy is growing and a little bit bigger than what she is now, I can start going outside as well. My clothes, most of the time the shirt is wet with breast milk, leaving stain visible to anyone nearby thus I have to start wearing breast pad.

Amongst all the complain though, everything is paid off with just a little smile or smirk from the baby. Whenever I looked into her face....all the pain are gone. I pray to God that I will be a good mother, to bring her to adulthood as a good person.
